Kerry’s style of teaching encompasses inquiry-based learning approaches where students are able to contextualise their learning. She encourages students to explore contemporary case studies and find solutions whilst being internationally minded. Additionally, Kerry wants to inspire more young women to pursue careers in Science.
Kerry was born in Switzerland and grew up in Ontario, Canada. As an avid traveller, she has visited and studied across the globe. Kerry completed a Bachelor of Science specialising in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Canada and a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Kerry has taught biology, general science, mathematics, sports, exercise and health science and physical education in Australia and Dubai. These subjects have been delivered across the secondary range (IBMYP, IBDP, IGCSE and Queensland curriculum). Kerry’s interests extend beyond the science lab; she has been the Service & Action and Personal Project Coordinators and Head of House at her previous schools.
