This week Halcyon hosted its second annual Model United Nations Conference. There were delegates and chairs from different state and independent schools such as Dwight International School, ISL Surrey, London Nautical School, Skinners Academy and Southbank.
The students were distributed into different committees such as ECOSOC, G20, Security Council, and NSS to discuss a number of different issues connected to the theme of the Millennium Development Goals.
All of the Halcyon students involved became more internationally-minded by socialising and working closely with other students from different schools while widely discussing significant global issues. The students also developed IB Learner Profile traits such as Risk Taker, Communicator and Knowledgeable.
