Halcyon's First Public Open House

It was standing room only at Halcyon's first public Open House event on Tuesday 12 March. Over 50 keen parents, educators, and relocation and education consultants packed into St Stephen's Church in W2 to hear about the exciting new project.

Co-founder Julie Matthaeus said: "Interest in the school has been overwhelming and application numbers for September 2013 are growing daily. Halcyon is conducting a worldwide recruitment search for the high calibre, engaging teachers and renovations of the building have begun.  We are reaching important milestones every week and momentum for the project is really building."

Speakers at the event were: Rita Halbright, Co-Founder; Mary Langford, Education Consultant; Alan Higgs, Architect; and Terry Hedger, Halcyon's Founding Director. They focused on explaining the IB curriculum; sharing Halcyon's unique vision and describing how the school will be a place of learning for the future. Co-founders Achim Beck and Pamela Sears were also in attendance to answer questions and talk to attendees.

The next Open House events will be on Monday 18 March 1800-1930 (presentation at 1900) in The Library at Asia House, 63 New Cavendish Street, W1G 7LP and Wednesday 27 March at St Stephen's Church, Westbourne Park Road, W2 5QT 0930-1130 (presentation at 1000).
