Congratulations to the Class of 2018!
Halcyon 2018 examination results are in and are, once again, very impressive. Each of our students was awarded the IB Diploma – a 100% pass rate – with an average score of 35 points. Further, 90% of students scored over 30 points, and 20% scored over 40 points. While this is our second year of IBDP examinations, it does include some Halcyon firsts; our first graduate going on to medical school; our first Ivy League placement; our first graduate to gain a place at a highly-competitive performance arts programme; and the first Halcyon student going to an Australian university.
Our school mission asks us to focus on the individual student and ensure that we realise their full potential. Therefore, examination results should be about acknowledging and celebrating the many different, individual successes. You can read more about our graduates and their achievements below.
On behalf of everyone in the Halcyon School community, I would like to share our warmest congratulations with the Class of 2018, and send our very best wishes to each of them as they open exciting new chapters in their lives.

Why we do
What we do
We prepare our students for what we can’t prepare them for: an unknown future and jobs that may not even exist yet. We do this by giving them a broad global knowledge and teaching them how to learn.
As the famous Chinese Proverb says: “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime.”
Some of the world’s top jobs that didn’t exist 10 years ago:
Cloud Computing Specialist
Driverless Car Engineer
Zumba Dance Teacher
Social Media Manager
Big Data Analyst
Education was originally about nurturing the learner to take charge of their own learning and we want to recapture that approach – but with a modern touch.
Education should be about building a life-readying toolkit. Our students need to be flexible, resilient, intelligent collaborators who navigate with confidence in a global digital world.
We realised that we were looking for a school that was innovative, student-centred, academically broad, digitally integrated, existing in a global context, and gets students out in London (and further afield) to develop and utilise their skills at school and in the real world.
That’s Halcyon. Are you interested? We look forward to hearing from you!
