say about Halcyon

“It is a pleasure working with such a diverse group of fun, respectful and ambitious international students. I value the strong community feel on campus and find it interesting and rewarding to work in such a tech-savvy environment.”

Oisin Byrne / French, Spanish & Theory of Knowledge Teacher

“After the Halcyon experience, there are so many possibilities. Every door is open.”

Dina / Halcyon Graduate Class of 2017

“Halcyon London International School works! This school is not all about memorising boring homework and taking tests, instead, teachers create interesting academically challenging assignments my daughters adore that help them learn real-life skills and encourage their creativity. London is used often as an invaluable resource. Combine this with the latest technology, superior presentation and self-reflection skills and a truly international community and I am grateful to Halcyon’s founders every day.”

Stacey Ciauri / Parent at Halcyon

“Halcyon is a school which represents the aspects one would hope to find in all schools worldwide such as a creative environment, emphasis on quality over quantity in terms of school assignments, healthy food choices, technological innovation, and most importantly positive attitudes from all (reception, students, teachers, school head).”

Bob Chebator / Parent at Halcyon

“Staff give pupils exceptional opportunities to take responsibility for many aspects of school life. They are very well prepared to become the leaders of tomorrow. Teaching over time is outstanding. Teachers plan activities that engage pupils in their learning. They give insightful feedback so that pupils know how to improve their work.”

Ofsted 2017 /

“Advanced, not only in terms of digital technology but also in attitude. The school focuses on the pupils and listens to them, making sure they are happy and learning.”

Why we do

What we do

We prepare our students for what we can’t prepare them for: an unknown future and jobs that may not even exist yet. We do this by giving them a broad global knowledge and teaching them how to learn.

As the famous Chinese Proverb says: “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime.”

Some of the world’s top jobs that didn’t exist 10 years ago:

Cloud Computing Specialist

 Driverless Car Engineer

Youtube Entertainer

 Zumba Dance Teacher

Drone Operator

Social Media Manager

Big Data Analyst

Windfarm Engineer

Our story

Education was originally about nurturing the learner to take charge of their own learning and we want to recapture that approach – but with a modern touch.

Education should be about building a life-readying toolkit. Our students need to be flexible, resilient, intelligent collaborators who navigate with confidence in a global digital world.

We realised that we were looking for a school that was innovative, student-centred, academically broad, digitally integrated, existing in a global context, and gets students out in London (and further afield) to develop and utilise their skills at school and in the real world.

That’s Halcyon. Are you interested? We look forward to hearing from you!
