Airlite paint at Halcyon breaks down pollution particles

Airlite came again to visit us in our lab to perform their experiment demonstrating how Airlite paint breaks down noxious pollution particles in the air. Our science enthusiasts were able to ask them questions about how it works. The paint is activated by both artificial and natural light, even at low levels, and due to natural air circulation, air particles are brought close to the paint for it to break down pollutant molecules.
It was interesting to learn how one’s interest in chemistry, the environment, product design, marketing or interior design could lead to such a dynamic product that can allow us to improve our environment in new ways. As it’s manufactured in powder form, it weighs much less than traditional paint so pollutes less during shipping.
