For CORE week aside from editing their Extended Essays and preparing for their Theory of Knowledge presentations, Grade 12 students experienced a mix of mind-pumping brain games, both musical and artistic and stress relief activities. Mark Bowen consulted with students for UCAS, Common App and general university information to ensure everyone is prepared for the demands of their application processes. Students also reviewed referencing techniques. Claire Rose, a Halcyon alumni teacher and IBDP Extended Essay Advisor, was invited to share pointers on what examiners look for in their Extended Essays. The week finished with a trip to the British Museum, good food for thought as they formulate Theory of Knowledge questions through some inspiring exhibits.
