The Grade 10 Personal Project exhibition at Halcyon demonstrates a wonderful way for our community to gain a deeper understanding into the project-based work our students learn to master.
The Personal Project is designed as an independent learning experience. The project formally assesses students’ ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills for self-management, research, communication, critical and creative thinking, and collaboration.
The Personal Project encourages students to practise and strengthen their ATL skills, to connect classroom learning engagements with personal experience, and to develop their own interests for lifelong learning.
The afternoon was both interesting and inspiring with projects from clock-making to documentary filmmaking to learning how to organise a benefit dinner for a charity to building a climbing wall.
