What do lawyers do?

During lunchtime on Thursday last week, students had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker, Simon Camilleri. Mr Camilleri is a lawyer (solicitor), working as a corporate litigator for a US firm in London. Mr Camilleri gave a very fascinating speech about what lawyers do, the different types of lawyers, what types of things solicitors can specialise in and what it is like to work as a solicitor. Having attended King’s College, London and University of Oxford (St Edmund Hall), students were also interested in hearing about his experience applying to study Law at these institutions. The talk was very interesting and Halcyon students would like to thank Mr Camilleri for his informative presentation and Q&A session.
